Best Treatment for Cellulite
Endermology, Revitol and the Cellulite Gene
While updating my research on the best treatment for cellulite problems I have come to the conclusion that the concept of a cellulite gene may have a great deal of scientific validity. If this is proven to be the case then this discovery must drive our search for an effective cellulite treatment that is also safe and tailored to a condition that is genetically driven.
Cellulite takes hold when our body’s connective tissues become overloaded with toxins, fluid and fat. This is what causes the typical dimpled appearance. Age may also play a role in the formation of cellulite as the bands of connective tissue get shorter as the years go by, placing pressure and pulling on the skin.
In Tennessee Bruce Shack MD, chair of plastic surgery at Vanderbilt University School of Medicine in Nashville is unravelling the mysteries of Endermology, a cellulite treatment endorsed by the FDA as effective at decreasing at least its appearance.
What is Endermology?
In Endermology deep muscle Swedish massage is simulated using a vacuum device that makes use of rollers to suck and massage the skin. Endermology is very popular amongst European women but has only recently made its way to the U.S.
It works by increasing the skins collagen but has to be continued indefinitely for the positive effects to continue. You will need about 14 treatments before you see results. Many experts still tout liposuction as a better alternative combining it with Endermology to reduce bruising and swelling after surgery.
Experts agree that it improves the skin’s appearance by pushing fluid out of body tissues but that it’s a short-term solution.
Creams that contain caffeine and aminophylline are still the most widely recommended products for cellulite removal. These ingredients shrink and dehydrate fat cells and are the best treatment for cellulite problems if you don’t want to go the exercise route which some still consider the foundation for cellulite control and removal or at the very least a means by which its appearance may be improved.
Dietary changes and exercises will also shrink fat cells and prevent more bloated ones from forming. In my own experience I have found that drinking sufficient amounts of water is one of the best ways to treat cellulite. Water is the most effective substance we can use to break down fat.
Has just arrived on U.S. shores and seems set to take the cellulite war to a new level. It costs about $3500 to $7000 depending on the amount of cellulite that needs to be treated. It is a laser treatment that has recently been approved by the FDA. The area is numbed and a small laser tube inserted subcutaneously. The laser heats up and “melts” fat deposits and severs skin fibre bands that cause dimpling.
It has received excellent reviews on websites and in print and seems to be a very effective and safe treatment and possibly the best treatment for cellulite on the market in recent years.
Revitol Cellulite Solution
Revitol contains Retinol A and caffeine. Caffeine will shrink fat cells by getting rid of sodium in the cells. It also promotes more blood flow. Retinol, has been shown to reduce skin wrinkles. This cellulite reducing cream also tightens the skin and as a result smoothes out the skin reducing the appearance of cellulite. I have tested several cellulite creams and Revitol scored the best rating.
Revitol has ingredients that will reverse or eliminate cellulite from certain areas of your body. If you apply the cream 2 or 3 times a day, you should see a real reduction of cellulite, as your skin becomes much smoother.
At this time they are offering up to 34% off when you order more than 1 tube.
Whether you choose to go the route of creams, massage, laser or liposuction your main focus should always be that which is safest for you and delivers acceptable results. Never choose a cellulite treatment that is harmful or doesn’t improve the appearance of the skin within a few weeks of treatments.
Dr. Oz also recommended creams with caffeine and Retinol A to get rid of cellulite. You can watch the episode here: “Dr. Oz show about cellulite”.
