10 Ways To Detox The Body

When you detox the body you are removing the toxins and waste our bodies are exposed to on a daily basis. If you feel fatigued, bloated, out of sorts or even moody during the day, it may be time for a body detox. I put together a list of 10 ways you can begin to detoxify your body starting today.

1. Stop Smoking
Cigarettes are full of harmful toxins. Your body works overtime to ward off harmful amounts of smoke, tar, nicotine, carbon monoxide and other toxins.

2. Drink Pleanty of Water
When you detox your body you need to flush out your system to keep it clean. Try to drink 8 to 10 eight ounces of water daily.

3. Sweat To Detox the Body
This can be don using steam rooms, saunas, hot baths or physical exercise 30 minutes every day.

4. Antioxidants
By increasing your daily supply of vitamin C, vitamin A and carotenoids, vitamin E and selenium you will be helping to detox your body.

5. Alcohol
There is some debate that low to moderate use of alcohol may be beneficial to lyour health. But consuming alcoholic beverages can put stress on your body because they are full of calories and sugar. You may notice some toxic side effects such as headaches, nausea, poor digestion and sluggishness.

6. Fats To Avoid
Low quality fats should be avoided if you want to improve your overall health. They include hydrogenated or partially hydrogenated, cotton seed oil, Olestra, palm kernel oil and any margarine spread with hydrgenated type oils.


7. Flour Products To Avoid
Another good way to detox the body is to not consume low quality white flour products such as cookies, white bread, donuts, pastries, cakes and crackers. Refined food have very little mineral, vitamins and nutrient content. They will cause an insulin spike which triggers your body to store more weight and toxins are stored in our body fat.

8. Colon Cleansing to Detox The Body
A colon cleanse can remove harmful toxins from your body that interfere with digestion and your gereral health.

9. Juice Fasting for Detoxing Your Body
A juice fast will nourish the body with live enzymes to help release stored toxins. This will improve your immune system and provide the nutrients to sustain the fast.

10. Use Natural Organic Products
To really detox, you need to start using natural products. Most of our beauty products are full of preservative, poisons and toxins. By using organic products you will not be putting toxins into your system every day.
