Fast Relief of Hemorrhoids
When you have hemorrhoids, you just want them to go away quickly, so here are some tips for hemorrhoids relief:
Apply ice right away, directly to the hemorrhoids. Do this for fifteen minutes at a time, several times a day.
Witch Hazel is something many of us have in our medicine cabinets- it’s great as a facial toner, but did you know it can also provide hemorrhoids relief? Sure can! Apply Witch Hazel directly to the piles and it will relieve your itching and irritation. Use as often as needed while you are get rid of your hemorrhoids.
I personally use a product called Venapro. It gets to the underlying cause of the problem for long lasting relief...and there are no side effects. It stops the itching, bleeding, pain and swelling of hemorrhoids.
Another treatment for hemorrhoids that provides immediate relief is a warm bath. A soothing bath will not only relieve tension from your day, but will also reduce the swelling of hemorrhoids and keep the area clean, which is essential for treatment.
Getting Rid of Hemorrhoids
If you want a hemorrhoids remedy, simply make sure to dry yourself thoroughly after a bath (recommended) or shower. Keeping the area dry will speed recovery, and you will get rid of those hemorrhoids as soon as possible.
Another way to get rid of hemorrhoids is to keep your seat comfortable. Increasing the problem will keep you from seeing any hemorrhoids relief, so make sure to avoid sitting for long periods of time, but when you do have to sit, make sure you are positioned comfortably.
Now this one is quite obvious, but a basic no-brainer treatment for hemorrhoids is to use medicated pads. They are one of the most doctor recommended treatments, and most users see results. You can check their reviews on any online site and see that people use them.
Along those same lines, another simple hemorrhoid remedy that you can pick up in any store is Preparation H. Simply apply this or any other hemorrhoidal cream or ointment for relief. These shrink the hemorrhoid because they contain phenylephrine which shrinks the blood vessels in the hemorrhoids. They also contain hydrocortisone which provides relief from itching.
Over-the-counter creams, suppositories, ointments and pads for getting rid of hemorrhoids are the conventional treatment for hemorrhoids. These products contain ingredients like hydrocortisone and with Witch hazel. These hemorrhoid treatments can temporarily relieve pain and itching. However, most doctors caution using products like this for more than a week because they can cause dangerous side effects...like inflammation, skin rash and skin thinning. An all-natural hemorrhoids remedy will not cause these problems.
Finally, wear “hemorrhoid friendly” undergarments. Wear natural fibers that will allow your skin to breathe—which means underwear made of cotton, preferably—and of course avoid any styles what will, well, ‘ride up’ in that area. In other words, thongs and g-strings probably are not the way to go when you have hemorrhoids. Sweat can cause more bacteria growth and inflammation, and this will only make things worse.
While you are getting rid of hemorrhoids, it is also a good idea to switch to a soft toilet paper—and if you are prone to hemorrhoids, you should be using a softer brand at all times. Abrasive toilet paper can make matters worse, and a gentler toilet paper will cleanse the rectum after passing stool without irritation.
Medical Hemorrhoid Treatments
The very last, most invasive approach to getting rid of hemorrhoids is a medical intervention. First there is a rubber band ligation which eliminates hemorrhoids by placing a rubber band around the base of the hemorrhoid inside the rectum. This cuts off the circulation to the hemorrhoid. Another hemorrhoid treatment is sclerotherapy. This procedure uses a chemical solution which is injected around the blood vessels of the hemorrhoid, and that shrinks it.
Another hemorrhoid treatment is infrared coagulation that actually burns the hemorrhoidal tissue. And finally, a hemorrhoidectomy is a surgery that will actually remove the entire hemorrhoid. See your doctor for these hemorrhoid treatments if you think one of these is the best way for you to go to get rid of hemroids.
Prevention of Hemorrhoids
Getting rid of hemorrhoids involves prevention. What are some good ways to ensure that the hemorrhoids never return? Well, what caused them in the first place? Piles can be caused by things like diarrhea, constipation, pregnancy, child birth, heavy lifting, sitting too long and anal intercourse. Some of these things can be avoided.
To prevent hemorrhoids from recurring, you need to change your lifestyle! I know that’s a difficult step, but it is the only way to ever get permanent relief, trust me on this.
First, you need to make sure that you are drinking enough water each and every day. That is a simple hemorrhoids remedy that you should be incorporating daily.
Getting rid of your hemorrhoids can be easy if you eat more fiber! The RDA suggests that Americans consume 25 grams of fiber per day, but the average American is only consuming 10-15. Add an apple with peanut butter for a snack, add more vegetables to dinner and have oatmeal for breakfast.
Or, combine both in one. Add some fiber to your water. There are several supplements out now that actually taste great. Flavored powders are a great option and if you don’t like drinking water, they may help make it more palatable. These are the best methods of getting rid of hemorrhoids permanently!
Also, if you are doing heavy lifting, make sure to lift correctly, and if possible, make more than one trip if you are prone to hemorrhoids.
And as mentioned above, avoid sitting long periods of time if you know that you do get hemorrhoids. Get up and move around periodically to keep the blood flowing. Exercise is always a good thing!
